ACTIVITIES
What activities do you participate in to stay active?

Hiking, walking, mountain/snow biking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing and skating.

IMPACT
How does being active make you feel and why is it important to you?

It’s really good for my mental health! I notice it when I’m less active because my mood/motivation can change. Often you have to ‘kick yourself’ to get going, but it’s worth it. Having children helps a lot and I want to be a role model for them.

SCHEDULING
How do you implement being active into your busy schedule?

You have to make time to move around. At home, we have an early supper. I can’t work out in the evenings because I become too active, so it’s early in the morning before work, at lunch or before supper (after work).

BARRIERS
What barriers have you faced or are you currently facing when it comes to being active?

I suffered a concussion in 2021 while downhill cycling, but I’ve regained my motivation and perseverance to continue cycling.

MOTIVATION
What motivates you to continue to be active?

My children and my partner, and to have better mental health.

ROLE MODEL
Do you have a role model and/or would you consider yourself to be a role model to others?

My partner Sébastien and my mother-in-law Nathalie, whom I would consider a ‘machine.’ I know that everything starts with genes, but I strongly believe that the fact that she has kept active and has a healthy lifestyle is one of the reasons why she’s still very beautiful and fit, although she’s in her fifties.
