ACTIVITIES
What activities do you participate in to stay active?

I play for the St. Thomas Women’s Volleyball Team.

IMPACT
How does being active make you feel and why is it important to you?

Being active makes me feel good about myself and gives me something to look forward to and to use as motivation. It is important to me more than ever because I went through a period of time where I was not able to be active and it made me realize how being active is such a big part of my day to day life.

SCHEDULING
How do you implement being active into your busy schedule?

Although my schedule is busy, I always try to do assignments for school as soon as I get them and not leaving them to the last minute helps me stay ahead and be able to go to practice and games and not have to worry as much about them.

BARRIERS
What barriers have you faced or are you currently facing when it comes to being active?

A barrier that I have had to face physically within the past year is that I tore my ACL and meniscus in November and had surgery in January.

MOTIVATION
What motivates you to continue to be active?

For me, what motivates me is my team. My team is always there for each other and they make practices and workouts a fun place to be.

ROLE MODEL
Do you have a role model and/or would you consider yourself to be a role model to others?

My role model has been the same since I was younger and played soccer. Christine Sinclair was always an inspiration on and off the field. She was an amazing soccer player but also as a person. She was always very selfless and humble.
